Carbon Fiber - 1

Carbon fiber is a huge design when it comes to civics. You can basically have anything in this design from your pedals, fuel door, and your hood. But even though it looks amazing it can be expensive if ordering from a company or manufacturer. So some get away with painting there hoods or other parts of the car black. and from a distance it looks great.

But if you don't want to get drastic, you can do little small touches:

THE WAGON

Okay, it is almost forgotten and raley talked about. The Civic Wagon.

The wagon came in 2wd that had d15b2 motor, and 4wd that had d16a6 motor. The 4wd motor was used in the crx and civic si. It used a cable linkage and a PM6 ECU. They came in white, light blue, grey, red and black. Like your commenly driven crx and hatchback you can swap motors but if you want to keep 4wd, keep it simple.

So the next time you see a wagon give them a thumbs up. If you needed a little more space in the backseat and maybe a little more trunk room this should be your choice.

SI vs SIR

JDM APPRECIATION
BABY!!!!!!!!!!

If you've been a Honda fan for a while, than you'll know that we here in the states have been cheated out of quite a bit of jdm options as well as models that Honda decided to keep in the motherland; japan. Example, the civic type r dc2 front ends, factory turbocharged models and for the ef lover the original SIR...for many reasons such as passing strict American DMV inspections smog laws and safety issues, they always seemed to dummy down the American models (no offense si).

this article is just to show some of the differences between lets say a crx si(us) and a crx sir (jdm)

in japen the first gen sir civic and crx was offer with dohc zc motors or the infamous first gen b16a dohc vtec motor.. a different front end, fog lights, better suspension, rear seats with seatbelts (unheard of in the states) optional power windows and door locks, also a tachometer that read to 9500 rpm and 220 kilometers , and very rare the crx had what we call the og glass roof, wher the entire roof was a dark tinted glass (not so safe in a crash but sooo cool).

if you look out there hard enough you can actually find some sir models that have been shipped into the states , mostly on the west coast but some have even been through all of the slow paper work and registered to be driven on the streets. Now if finding an actual right hand drive car may be out of your budget you can always start searching for those rare jdm pieces that will certainly set your car apart from the others.Remember the most important thing is knowing the difference. Well get a little
more in to jdm front end conversions, amber lights, gage cluster and whatever else that sets us apart from or coveted jdm models......

Clear Corners

Since we are in the direction of exterior redo, and all ready talked about fog lights we are going to now think about clear corner.

This is 1 of the options that you may be able to select. They are not expensive and on-line start at $20 but you also have to take in mind the shipping. Since they are inexpensive I would recommend getting them from a performance store in your area.

I LOVE MY EF

The EF has been around for 20years and through out the course, it gets more popular. In the beginning you would see more older people driving them but now they are turning out to be a young persons new ride. They are reliable, good on gas, and also unique.

The next time you are driving, stop and notice how many you see and yet they are all different. One with JDM conversions, rims, fog lights, amber or clear corners; moon roof, SI seats, or even custom paint jobs but most stick to the original color.

But no matter how the same or differenet they are it depends on you, the driver to make them your own. Just know, you can have a car next to you that may have a better motor or could pull off faster off the line but if they can't drive it doesn't matter. Learn your car and decided what is best for you. In the future when we get into motor swaps, and turbo kits (etc) just remember all is optional thats why we have the best and most customizable car.

Plug and Play HIDs

while many are content with stock bulbs or the ever classic hyper whites.....
lets not leave out one of the easiest and best upgrades to set off your cars looks as well as making night driving and bad weather not as bad. Some kits start at about $125 dollars on ebay
or from MB racing in Garfield NJ.you can get them in any color from yellow to pink and purple as well as hid fog lights..

Now an important thing to remember is the Kevlar rating..
contrary to popular belief the higher the K rating the more vivid the color but less visability.for instance 4000k is yellow which is actually the brightest light being closest to the sun.
purple would be more like 12,000k but you will not see as clear at night compared to maybe an extreme bluish white like 6000 or 8000k.
the most important thing to remember is that not all colors may be legal where you live so try to do whats best for your taste and drive ability.

Installation is as simple
1. Pop out the old headlight bulbs
2.Clip the factory harnesst into the HID ballast.
3.Put the new HID bulbs exactly were the old ones went,
4.Find a place to tie rap or mount the 2 ballast, one for each side.

Stickers

So I have to say I think stickers are very important when hooking up your 4th gen or any car for that matter. It sets you apart from others and also shows of your own style by having the right placement and size. Here are a few I came across that I thought would be nice to began with. You can find these and more on eBay, you may be better off going to a local car store. They usually have them

Your Ride!!!

Well for tops I have been in love with my hb since the moment I saw it. Reliable, on point, and always offers the right amount of speed. Of course do to some modifications that is possible. Since civics are the most customizable cars you can do just about anythings to change there appearance, performance, and even sound. First I recommend an exhaust with an AEM cold air intake. Not only does it sound great, you are adding horsepower and torque with a little under $300. You can find this products on eBay and any performance store. But the key to remember, in a 4th gen any thing is possible no matter what they say.

With any budget this is possible
